Dead tree
It's not photoshopped to black-and-white. This is actually hoe black-and-white the dead tree looked.
First waterfall
First New Zealand waterfall :) The poster displayed some Maori warriors bathing in the waterfall. We only saw the waterfall though ...

Muddy steam
The mudfield smelled like sulphur and steamed like a sauna. Health benefits of many sorts were to be had, so we bathed in sulphur bath and smeared ourself with mud. Followed by a relaxing massage.
Mud bubbles
Mud abstract
Also mud can look attractive. Almost like a painting. Why would anyone paint though ...
Mud volcano
It hissed and spit out hot mud.
Little colour
The mud volcanos weren't always brown :)
Liquid mud
19,4km over a live volcano
Considered one of the greatest one day walks in the world, Tongariro crossing passes a live volcano and beautiful blue mountain lakes.
Start the journey
Looks easy enough? :)
Carrying the world on your back.
Yellow river
Up in the clouds
Hiding behind the rock to escape the cold wind :)
Red crater
While we were enjoying our lunch, we had no idea that this view was just a hundred meters away from us :)
Turquoise eyes
Little water spots on top of the volcano plateau.
Almost like an infinity pool :)
