... It used to be. The old monk file his days by playing with cats - making them jump for treats. After his death the new monk did not approve of making cats an entertainment for tourists and stopped the practice. And hence there is no more Jumping Cats Monastery. Just some cats waiting for treats in a monastery.
With no more jumping to do, the cats played tag with each other in the dark monastery.
Long boats that are used daily on the Inle lake. Each measuring more than 8m with a small engine in the back. Turning them in the narrow canal is an art, parking equally so. But once they are in the open waters, they fly through the water like an arrow.
